Stars of the Navigator

biennale-harry-winston-sapphire_and_diamond_cascading_drop_necklace.jpgA stunning silver necklace, dripping with bright blue sapphires, that has long been thought lost at the bottom of the Keshian sea. Ulduzmek, Stars of the Navigator was originally crafted in antiquity by a high priest of Seyahet as a gift to his bride.

As many devotees of Seyahet were during the early years of Injau rule, the high priest was also a renowned pirate whose name is lost to time. He hid his amassed wealth in a remote location, but wished to share its secret with his love. The high priest sailed his ship to a place where the constellation of the Guide pointed, buried his treasure there, and then pulled the stars from the sky into this necklace. Unfortunately, the ship was attacked by the Injau and sunk, the necklace along with it, before the high priest could bestow his gift.

It is believed that each time a jewel is used, a star from the long forgotten constellation will return to the night sky and, when all gems are spent, point the way to the high priest’s hidden treasure. Variations of the tale of its making and its maker’s folly have been passed down through the years as a warning to those who would rebel against the daemon princes.
